Describe a shipment in plain words. Claude hands it to the 3DPACK.ING solver and answers with the containers you need, how full each one is and anything that didn’t fit, with the load drawn in 3D right in the chat.

Connect
Three steps, once.
About a minute. After that, start a message with “Using 3DPACK.ING”.
01
Add the connector.
In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Name it 3DPACK.ING and paste this address. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it for the organization first; then each person connects their own account.

02
Sign in, then allow.
Choose Connect. Sign in to 3DPACK.ING with Google, Microsoft or a code sent by email (a new account is created on the spot) and allow Claude to pack shipments for you. No API key to copy.

03
Ask.
In a new chat, check that 3DPACK.ING is switched on in the tools menu, then ask in plain words. Turn the answer in 3D, or open the full plan to adjust and export it.
›Using 3DPACK.ING, how many euro pallets fit in a 20 ft container?
Ask
Ask the way you’d ask a colleague.
Quantities, sizes, weights and rules like fragile, do-not-stack or keep upright. Each answer is a packed plan, not a volume estimate. Starting with “Using 3DPACK.ING” makes sure Claude asks the solver rather than estimating.
Using 3DPACK.ING, how many euro pallets, 120 x 80 cm and 100 cm tall, fit in a 20 ft container?
Using 3DPACK.ING, pack 60 crates of 120 x 100 x 100 cm into a mix of 20 ft and 40 ft containers, as many as needed.
Using 3DPACK.ING, pack 25 crates of 120 x 80 x 100 cm and 40 cartons of 60 x 40 x 50 cm into 20 ft containers, as many as needed.
Questions
What does it cost?
Connecting is free. Each answer uses one pack from your 3DPACK.ING account: a free account includes a monthly allowance, and a plan or a pack of credits goes further. A request that fails is refunded. Stack limits, weight ceilings and gaps between items need the Business plan; on a free account Claude says so instead of packing.
Is the answer calculated or estimated?
Calculated. Claude passes your description to the same 3D solver as the planner on this site, which places every piece with its orientation, stacking and weight limits. The counts in the answer come from that plan.
Can I change or export the plan?
Yes. Open full plan opens it in the 3DPACK.ING planner, where you can adjust it, print it or export it to Excel. Every plan is also saved to your account.
What does the connector have access to, and what is shared?
It packs the shipments Claude sends it, as you, and saves each result to your account. It can’t see your saved plans, your chats or your Claude memory, and it can’t change your account. The shipment description is read by an AI model to pick out sizes and quantities; the privacy policy names the providers. To disconnect, remove it in Claude under Settings › Connectors.
Does it work in Claude Code?
Yes. Run claude mcp add --transport http 3dpacking https://3dpack.ing/mcp, then /mcp in Claude Code to sign in. The API reference covers other MCP clients and API keys.
Does it work in ChatGPT?
Yes. 3DPACK.ING is in ChatGPT’s Plugins directory; the steps are on 3dpack.ing/chatgpt.
Your next load, in Claude.
Add 3DPACK.ING as a connector and ask. Or try the planner here first.
