Privacy policy

3DPACK.ING is operated by Novian Works, an individually owned business (ENK) registered in Norway, which is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions, requests and complaints: contact@3dpack.ing. Last updated: 25 September 2026.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address; your name, if you sign in with Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn (those providers tell us the name on your account); which way you signed in; your plan, credit and how many free packs you have used; and, if you ticked the optional box described below, the date and wording of your consent to be contacted.
• Your shipments: what you ask us to pack — the description you type, or the items, dimensions, quantities, weights and rules you enter or upload — and the load plans we compute from it.
• AI assistants you connect: if you connect 3DPACK.ING to Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, the assistant sends us the shipment description it writes for each request. We receive that description only — never your conversation with the assistant. Signing in from an assistant creates an access key on your account, named after the assistant.
• Payments: Stripe processes card payments. We receive a customer reference, the plan you bought and whether the payment succeeded — never your card details.
• Server logs: your IP address and the requests you make, to keep the service working and secure.
• Usage analytics, only with your consent: clicks, page visibility and navigation on the site, and the analytics described under Cookies.

Why we use it

• To provide the service you asked for: sign you in, compute and store your load plans, count your plan and allowance, and take payment. (Legal basis: our contract with you.)
• To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems. (Legitimate interest.)
• To keep the free allowance to one per person: we compare accounts by their email address, their payment customer and the shipments entered in the planner, and accounts that clearly belong to one person share one allowance. We don't use your device, location or browsing for this. (Legitimate interest: preventing misuse of the free tier.)
• To send you sign-in codes, and once, a few hours after your first calculation, a short message asking whether the result worked for you. Every such message has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is permanent. (Legitimate interest.)
• To email or call you about the product, only if you ticked the optional box in the sign-in form. It is separate from accepting these terms and unticked by default; leaving it alone changes nothing about the service. You can withdraw at any time by writing to us or using the unsubscribe link in any message. (Consent.)
• To understand how the site is used, only if you accepted analytics. (Consent.)

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your email address to anyone for their own use.

Who receives it

• AI providers, to read what you asked: the shipment description or uploaded item list is sent to DeepSeek (text) or Anthropic (images and PDFs), and to OpenAI only when an API caller explicitly chooses it. Your email address, your name and your stored plans are never sent. DeepSeek processes data in China.
• Stripe, for payments; Mailjet, to deliver our email; Tawk.to, for the live chat; Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn, only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity, only if you accept analytics.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Your account and its settings: until you ask us to delete it.
• Your load plans: stored until you ask us to delete them or your account.
• Access keys created for connected assistants: until they are revoked or your account is deleted.
• Payment and billing records: as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires.
• Server logs, including IP addresses: 30 days in our log service. Log files on the server itself are rotated daily and deleted after 31 days.

Cookies

We store no cookies and run no tracking or analytics without your consent, except the security cookie that keeps you signed in. With consent, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies. Stripe may set cookies for payment security, and Tawk.to for the chat.

Your choices and rights

• You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it or your account, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable form: write to contact@3dpack.ing from the address you sign in with.
• You can withdraw any consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
• You can disconnect an AI assistant in that assistant's settings, and ask us to revoke the key it was given.
• If you think we have mishandled your data, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
